I am a South West based photographer residing in the beautiful county of Cornwall, but born in Portsmouth, moving to the South West at the young age of four.
I picked up my first film camera back in 2004 having been inspired by the wonders of nature and the beautiful photos of others. The years ahead found me with a few basic digital cameras while in 2007 I was able to experiment with the more creative Canon Pro1. As of present, I shoot with a dSLR which has allowed me more freedom and to further my skills to achieve greater photography.
As a photographer, I have a love for photographing nature, having always felt a strong connection with it whilst growing up. Today, the connection, enthusiasm and appreciation is even stronger and I always aim to convey this in my photography.
Abstract/macro photography is another passion when it comes to shooting and truly allows my creative side to show through. The ability to be able to take mundane and lifeless things, photographing them in a completely different way, showing them in a new light that is both intriguing and yet puzzling, is exciting and constantly pushes and challenges my creativity.
Canon 450D / Digital Rebel XSi, Canon 18-55mm IS, HOYA circular polariser, Slik Pro 400DX tripod and Photoshop CS3.
